Frank Tetzel lives in Berlin, Germany and has been working in the tourism sector for thirty years, both as a journalist and in marketing.
Initially, he worked in the shipping sector, where he was responsible for PR and marketing for ferry companies in the Baltic Sea region. He was also responsible for the operational business and the development of a shipping line connection. Later he moved to management positions in tourism and transport companies.
He developed new tourist markets, especially after the fall of the Iron Curtain with a focus on the Baltic States, Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Russia.
He has also been involved in the diversification of consumer brands that have evolved into the outdoor and tourism sectors.
For some years now, Frank has also been working on the subject of public diplomacy and advises embassies and governments in very different fields of consulting, such as the development of tourism master plans, the question of agrotourism and sustainable development of regions, which he develops together with a large network of experts. In addition, he acts as liaison officer to the government and parliament in Germany.
Frank has extensive knowledge and experience in destination marketing for a wide variety of destinations, has marketed individual hotels and hotel chains, as well as cruise business and cities.
Frank also has excellent skills in the field of sustainable tourism, he runs a German-language magazine and newsletter in this area, in which sustainability and development in tourism play an important role. Frank advises presidencies of tourism associations as well as politicians, and governments in German-speaking countries and is extremely well networked in all sectors.
